Oregon Legalizes Hemp Cultivation: “Recently, Oregon joined the ranks of states pushing for legitimizing the farming of industrial hemp, passing the Hemp Bill by a 46-11 vote in the Oregon House. The bill recently passed the Oregon Senate on June 19 by a majority of 27 to 2. The bill officially clears the way for licensing industrial hemp farming in the state.”

Seasonsapp.com Releases New App for iPhone: “Seasons is a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets users quickly gain information about what’s local and in season. The database contains information for 170 fruits, vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, and nuts, including their seasonal availability, a picture, and some helpful background. Users can search by month or by category; a weekly overview explains what’s currently in season.”
Apparently, More Sex = Better Sperm: “LONDON (June 30) — For men with fertility problems, some doctors are prescribing a very conventional way to have a baby: more sex. In a study of 118 Australian men with damaged sperm, doctors found that having sex every day for a week significantly reduced the amount of DNA damage in their patients’ sperm. Of course, the average car on the European street only emits 160 grams per kilometer. Daimler’s reasoning appears to be that some people will always want limos, and as such something is better than nothing.”
6 New Personality Disorders Caused by The Internet: “The Internet makes people crazy. We all know this. The guy on the message board who just called you a clown for owning a different video game console than him probably would have been perfectly polite had you met in real life. In fact, we’re thinking it’s time they updated the psychological diagnostic manuals with this list of new disorders that only seem to kick in once the person opens a web browser.”
Man-Made Substances that Laugh in the Face of Physics: “The universe is full of weird substances like liquid metal and whatever preservative keeps Larry King alive. But mankind isn’t happy to accept the weirdness of nature when we can create our own abominations of science that, due to the miracle of technology, spit in nature’s face and call it retarded. That’s why we came up with…”
